Why is it so important to talk about Embroidery art? Throughout the history of art embroidery was not considered as art, at least not as Art (with a capital A). After a brief analyse of embroidery history, we can see how it has been linked to women, it has been seen as a feminine work and occupation, so we can conclude that this is the most assertive reason why embroidery did not enter the category of Art, always being seen as a craft.
